I don’t know about you, but I haven’t bought a Fortnite skin in ages. Nothing really caught my eye lately.
And then… Epic added dogs. Officially called Sidekicks, but let’s be honest - the name doesn’t matter when you can pet them.

🐶 What are they exactly?

They’re a new cosmetic feature - companions that don’t change the gameplay, but stay by your side during matches. You can equip them, customize them, and some even have cute reactions and idle animations. They don’t give you an edge - they just look adorable, and that’s all I need.
Yes, purely cosmetic. But one of those cosmetics that make you smile every single time.

💛 The first one comes from the Battle Pass

In the current Battle Pass, players get their first dog in Peely style - yes, a banana-themed pup you can actually pet between battles.
For me, that’s an instant 10/10 game update.

💸 And yep, I already know where my V-Bucks are going

I haven’t bought skins in months - nothing felt worth it. But now? Let’s just say my “no more spending” resolution didn’t survive this update.
New Sidekicks just dropped a few days ago, and I’m crossing my fingers for more. If they ever add a corgi in a pink jacket… yeah, I’m doomed.

🧠 In short

Fortnite once again proves that it doesn’t take massive changes to bring back pure joy.
It’s a small cosmetic addition, but it brings such good vibes.
And petting your dog after a Victory Royale? That’s exactly the kind of post-match therapy I need.
