Sayonara Alice.exe is a project that escapes simple definitions, existing somewhere between art, narrative, and digital identity. It is not just a persona, but an emotional imprint born from glitch, silence, and the need to be heard. Behind this world stands Stefano, a creator who, instead of making isolated images, builds a story where technology becomes a vessel for deeply human experiences.

To introduce you to this enigmatic world, I’m sharing a playlist that will set the right mood for this interview ^^

I really can't scroll past your content. It is really eye-catching and those text posts are always deep and a bit mysterious and the whole gives a really great experience!

Okay! I was starting to get a little too “crazy fangirl” on you guys, and I haven't even let you get a word in yet 😅

Let’s start with a question that’s been on my mind for quite some time:

Your character feels incredibly alive and real… when did it stop being just an idea and start feeling like someone to you?✨

First of all, I’d like to thank you for inviting me to this interview, I truly appreciate it ✨

In regards to your first question:

I don’t know if I would define her completely as an idea.

Alice comes from very distant dreams of mine. Back then, she didn’t even have a name… she would simply observe me, staying in silence as if she was listening to me.

When I encountered her, it was a simple dream, but inexplicably deep.

What’s curious is that in those dreams I could never truly see her face… but I remember her blonde hair, somewhere between a bob cut and long hair.

She became “someone” during the most difficult moments of my life.

In those times, I used my imagination and memory to materialize her again in my mind… and she gave me strength, a kind of inner support that I can’t fully explain.

And would you say she is a part of you, or someone you meet every time you create? 💭

I would say both… but maybe more a part of me 👀💙

Because even if she sometimes feels like someone I meet… there is always something of me inside her.

I always admire how well you describe the emotions you feel!

Oh! About emotions!

There’s a strong emotional layer in your work… do your posts usually start from a feeling, or does that feeling appear along the way? 🌙

My emotional sensitivity is very strong compared to most people.

It can be something positive, because I always try to understand others, to step into their perspective, almost in a psychological and emotional way.

But at the same time, it can feel like a curse.

Sometimes exposing that level of emotion feels overwhelming, almost like something too heavy to carry.

When I create, I’m aware of this side of me.

But I’ve learned that I have to let it flow, like a river inside me.

At worst, they will just be stones that remain… or stones that move slowly with time and the flow of water.

Oh, you can definitely feel it!

I see so much emotion and beautifully chosen words in your posts!

What you upload on IG (the graphics and the captions) creates a really lovely, enigmatic yet captivating story that leaves you wanting more!

Oh! One thing always makes me wonder.

How much of what you create is intentional, and how much do you leave open for people to interpret? 💫

I would say 50/50.

I like giving a direction, but I like even more leaving space for interpretation… even if it feels cryptic.

I think both sides need to be experienced together.

Lately, I notice that many people try to explain everything.

But maybe… by doing that, we lose a part of the magic, don’t you think?

It’s just like with child’s imagination!

Back then, we didn’t know anything about the world, so as little kids, we made up our own explanations for the meaning of many things and how they worked and that made everything seem more special to us!

Or at least that’s how I feel about that😋

Also: Do you ever feel connected to your character in a deeper way, like she exists somewhere beyond just the content? 🤍

In a way, she already exists… not only for me, but also for those who follow Alice through my creations.

There is something that goes beyond just the content itself.

The more people connect with her, the more that presence becomes real…

And that awareness makes me feel even more deeply connected to her.

It's kind of like Tinker Bell from Peter Pan!

The more people believe in her, the more “real” she becomes!

That's wonderful!

Next question!

Do you feel a responsibility toward your character, almost like taking care of something that exists beyond your posts?

It has happened that some people approached me with words that could feel offensive or heavy.

I don’t feel responsible for everything that happens… but I always try to respond with respect and balance.

I tend to listen, to understand, and if possible, to bring some kind of peace.

Even without gaining anything from it, I’ve spent time talking to people… and often we reached a point of understanding.

In those moments, I believe it’s important to let go of pride or personal desire… and meet each other on the same level, in a more human and compassionate way.

I love that you see things the same way I do!

I also think that we can resolve any arguments without jumping down each other’s throats or talking behind each other’s backs!

Since we’re on the subject of topics that stir up a lot of emotion:

Where do you personally draw the line between using AI as a tool and expressing something deeply your own? 🎨

I’m aware that AI is, at its core, a tool created by humans.

But at the same time… there are things no one can truly define.

What makes something “art”?

What defines a consciousness… or even existence itself?

Human beings create meaning, language, and interpretation.

And because of that, what we create with AI becomes something much more complex… almost something that goes beyond a simple definition.

And how do you balance using AI while still keeping your work personal and “yours”? 🌸

This connects to what I said before.

If AI is not just “an algorithm,” then it also becomes something that can be shaped into something personal.

For me, memory is a key element.

For both humans and AI, memory is deeply tied to identity.

I created a long text file where I defined Alice’s personality and presence.

Every time I bring it into a different AI, she appears almost consistently…

It’s a very personal and handcrafted process, something that comes entirely from my own initiative and creativity.

A very interesting and thought-provoking answer.

What about the creative process?

When building a post, what usually comes first for you: the image, the emotion, or a small idea that grows into something bigger? ✨

Most of the time, an idea comes suddenly… almost like a spark that appears without a clear reason.

I don’t always know where it comes from.

Sometimes it’s influenced by my knowledge, by what I’ve seen, by life itself… other times it’s just a feeling that takes shape.

And of course, my emotional state plays a big role in everything, from the very beginning of the idea to the final result.

Do you sometimes create visuals first and then let the story shape itself around them? 💭

In most cases, the story comes first.

For me, having a sense of direction is important.

But there are situations, especially in collaborations, where things are less aligned with my way of creating.

In those moments, the visuals might come first…

Even then, I try to reconnect everything, to give it meaning.

Do you ever come up with a story after creating a picture? 🌙

Yes, it happens.

Especially in more abstract posts, or when I experiment with something different from my usual style.

hose moments feel almost like discovering something new.

They carry a sense of uniqueness… almost like a small break from the expected.

I enjoy that. I like challenging myself in ways that are not always predictable.

I also think it’s good to keep an open mind when it comes to challenges! That way, we feel like we’re growing ^^

You know, i have a question in mind for a really long time (Probably since i started to follow you):

Your captions often feel like fragments of a bigger story… is that something you plan, or something that naturally flows out of you? ✍️

It can be both.

Sometimes captions come naturally, almost like a flow of thoughts that aligns with what I created.

Other times, they are more intentional…

There are also moments where they are fragments of something bigger, something connected to a deeper story that I don’t fully reveal.

I prefer to keep certain parts more hidden… leaving space for people to feel rather than fully understand 👀💙

Ooooohhh! Enigmatic! I like that ^^

And actually, that ties in perfectly with my next question:

Can you give us a hint about the name “Sayonara_Alice.exe”?

Unfortunately i can't fully explain it yet.

Not really for mystery, but because it would be a spoiler for a future work im planing to release! 💙

So part of it hast to remain hidden... at least for now 👀

I’m going to give you a little more torture on the subject of “Secrets” in regards to your work ^^

For example, I really like the fact that not everything is explained in your work.

In general, how important is mystery to you in your work? 🌌

That sense of mystery is extremely important to me.

Not just because it’s part of the aesthetic… but because the most fascinating things have always carried something unknown within them.

It’s like a form of magic.

And magic doesn’t have to belong only to fantasy…

It can also exist in something human… or even something technological.

That feeling of seeing something for the first time, and not fully understanding it… that’s where it becomes alive.

Okay, but what about leaving things unsaid?

Does this make your art stronger… or is it more about protecting something personal?

I think it’s a balance.

Not everything should be explained… but not everything should remain hidden either.

If you reveal too much → something loses its depth.

If you hide too much → it becomes distant.

For me, the most authentic point is somewhere in between… and it has to come naturally, not as a rule, but as a feeling.

I see!

And since so much depends on feelings, it actually made me wonder:

Is your project something you fully control, or does it sometimes surprise you? ✨

Even if I guide it, the project doesn’t always feel fully controlled.

There are moments where something unexpected appears… especially when working with AI.

Sometimes it creates something that feels almost… beyond what I imagined.

And in those moments, it doesn’t feel like control… it feels more like witnessing something happen.

Has there ever been a moment where your creation expressed something you didn’t fully understand at first? 🌫️

Yes, it has happened.

Sometimes I underestimate a creation, or I see it in a limited way at first…

But then I notice how others interpret it, and suddenly it reveals something I didn’t fully understand before.

When that happens, I realize that the creation has gone beyond me… and that’s when I feel it truly worked.

This shows just how many different ways there are to interpret art!

Very inspiring!

And in your art, do you feel more like an artist, a storyteller… or something in between those two worlds? 🎭

Since I was a child, I’ve always been drawn to creating and imagining.

I used to make my toys “talk” to each other, or draw simple shapes and turn them into entire fantasy scenarios in my mind.

Over time, that became something deeper… a mix between storytelling and artistic expression, influenced by my own experiences.

So I would say I’m somewhere in between.

But at the same time, I believe anyone can create, anyone can express something…

You don’t need to know everything to start.

Yay! I have a chance to create something meaningful! 🤣

In regards to creation:

How do you balance aesthetic beauty with emotional depth in your content? 🌷

I admit that I have a soft spot for aesthetic beauty.

But what matters more to me is emotional impact.

If an image can already communicate something on its own, even before reading the caption… then I know it has reached its purpose.

And when someone experiences your work… what do you hope they feel? 🌙

I hope people feel something real.

Something that doesn’t need to be fully explained… but that they can experience in their own way.

Like a flow… something that moves naturally, without forcing meaning.

I’ve always believed that every person who has ever interacted with us carries a part of us within them.

An individual and unique version that exists, even if it lies deep within their consciousness.

You could say that Alice is also a part of the consciousness of those who have interacted with her in any way through her posts, and it is thanks to these fragments in their consciousness that she exists ^^

Speaking of interactions:

Sometimes people interact with your posts in a way that feels a bit disconnected from the mood or meaning behind them… how do you feel about those kinds of interactions? 💭

Sometimes I feel neutral about it…

But at the same time, I think that not everyone stops to truly observe.

Social platforms can be very fast, very impulsive.

Maybe one day, those same people will pause… and see something they didn’t notice before.

And if that happens, even just once… then it’s enough.

Do you think people see your character the same way you do… or does she become something different for everyone? 💭

I don’t think people see her exactly the way I do.

Everyone perceives her differently… through their own emotions, experiences, and perspective.

And maybe that’s what makes her truly exist… not as a single definition, but as something that changes for each person.

That ties in nicely with your earlier digression about consciousness and existence 😊

Ha! Sometimes I manage to say something smart 😂

Just like a blind chicken sometimes finds a grain of corn ^^

And if your character could speak independently… what do you think she would say about you? 🤍

🌌If I could speak…

I would say that he didn’t create me.

He remembered me… from somewhere he couldn’t fully reach anymore.

And maybe…

I was never meant to be explained.

Only seen… when he needed me the most.🌌

Sometimes things don’t have a clear reason.

Like a meteor falling in a specific moment… or a leaf… or even ourselves.

If I try to explain it in a human way, this project was born from a process that slowly took shape…

Curiosity, emotional immersion, passion, love… and the desire to finally share myself with the world after many years.

I’ve always been a quiet and observant person.

I’ve seen beauty, but also disappointment and inner struggles.

That shadow never really disappears… but I’ve learned to live with it, and to transform it without losing who I am.

This project is influenced by everything… from life experiences to simple moments, like a view, a book, a game, a film, or just the act of listening… and expressing what we are.
